We all know that the design world is a fickle one. Trends come, and trends go. Yet, one that seems to be sticking around awhile is the use of modern stencils. Proof? This fabulous stencil dresser I stumbled across at World Market a little while back.
I love this piece! I can’t seem to get enough of that dark gray color…especially when it is paired with a dark wood.
But, what I love the most is the use of that big, bold stencil! Dresser (or buffet) pieces are a prime piece of real-estate to consider when you are looking to add an unexpected twist to your room.
Even better is that they are often a frugal find from tag sales or even your own basement storage.
Here are a few show-stoppers to illustrate my point:
Didn’t Connie over at Salvage Savvy do a fantastic job on this one? She created the piece as part of a review of stencil products from Royal Design Studio. I really like the pairing of stencil on the wall and on the dresser! (Visit her blog to find out more about her experience!)

I think this next one is one of my absolute favorites! Courtney at A Little Glass Box was kind enough to share it with us. Thank you Courtney!
Have you attempted to stencil a dresser or buffet? If so, FDG would love to share your photos right here!!
